Grilled Corn On Cob

Few dishes evoke summer like grilled corn on the cob. Paired with a rich herb butter, this classic favourite transforms into a crowd-pleaser that’s both simple and elegant.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 fresh corn cobs, husks removed
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Method

  1. Prepare the Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Grill the Corn: Preheat the grill to medium heat. Place the corn directly on the grates and cook, turning occasionally, until evenly charred, about 10–12 minutes.
  3. Add the Flavour: Immediately slather the hot corn with herb butter. The heat will melt the butter, coating the corn beautifully.
  4. Serve with Zing: Arrange the corn on a platter and serve with lemon wedges for squeezing.

Cook’s Note

Enhance the experience by sprinkling grated parmesan or a pinch of chilli powder over the buttered corn. Perfect for BBQs and summer picnics!
